I have a 96 cavalier with a 2.2 that I recently replaced the head gasket
on. It ran great but had a leaky injector, which I replaced. Since then,
the car runs and idles well when cold, but when it is warmed up it idles
so rough it almost dies and I am getting a code 300--misfire detected. I
have replaced the plugs and wires as well as the coils, and am looking for
any help I can get. I believe it is the injection system, but I don't know
how i could have screwed up the installation of a new injector--pretty
basic stuff. Anyone got any ideas???

perform the injector kill test if you have a scanner to see which cylinder
is misfiring. if there is no changes or rpm drop when killling injector
then thats the injector to check. checked for power and ground or use node
light to see if injector driver at pcm is working properly. also check your
o2 sensor performance.

or take a hose any rubber hose or an old stethescope "if your blessed with
having relitives for a nurse or doctor" and pull the end off of it then put
the end of the hose up to an injector and then the other end next to your
ear you should hear a click click noise all should be repetitive and
consistant.
